need help wiring aftermarket radio, 98Q45

I bought an adapter to keep the bose amp and hooked up all those wires to the radio but there's no power. I left the plug that goes into the radio alone, do I need to cut the plug and connect the wires to the ones going to the new radio? So I'd have 2 red wires and 2 black wires and 2 of whatever other color going to the new radio?

So the two amp plugs are going to the adapter > then the radio.
Then I splice in the radio wires with the adapter wires leading to the radio?
So it should look like: Factory Amp Harness>Adapter + Radio Wires > New Radio.

Or am I missing something?

Unfortunately, I'm not doing a good job of following what you're saying... maybe the factory service manual will help you out with some wiring colors and an explanation of what the different wires are doing? It's available at www.infinitiservicemanual.com
