i installed my front mud flaps, but when i turn the wheel the tire rubs against em . im only running 225 45 17 in the front, but ive seen pics with people with around the same thing, or bigger and they have them on.

are these meant to be used with just stock size wheels/tires or what?

Is it on there tight? I had to use extra screws to keep them from rubbing against my tires, I forgot what tire size now but I believe the wheels were 16x8.5.

This was on my hatch.

Check your caster. It won't rub if wheel moves to the front a little bit. I have 17x8 235/40 tires and they touched the splash guard, so I adjust the caster and no more rub. I have adjustable tension rods and have to get alignment done.

I pretty much screw down any place that seem like it needs it, maybe see where it rubbing and see if you can screw that down. I used small screw with the drill driver.

One more thing to check. See if rubber bushing on tension rods are still good. If they are busted, your caster is totally off and causing front wheel to move back and forth. I rather keep the mud guards. s13 looks good with them especially upper half section of mud guard painted to match the car. That's how they came on JDM s13s.
