I have a 72 Datsun 510. 4 lug.I would like to put some 17" or maybe 18" Racing Hart Type C.I know they fit but i dont know what offset i have to get and what would the biggest lip be that I can get.I would like to put 8.5 on Rear & 8 on front.Does anybody know what would the offsets have to be so I dont have to use spacers? Somebody told me i could use +22 front & +28 rear.Hear is the pic of the wheel and my car. Thanks

This is just personal opinion, but 18s are ridiculous to put on a 510, and 17s are also too big. The biggest I'd go is 16, which actually I still find to be a bit too big, but still somewhat acceptable.

For reference, I ran 15X7 +15 front and rear. The fronts were flush, and the rears had -2* or so of camber in order to fit. But I had coilovers so the car was pretty low.

I registered to save you money. I have 16x8 wheels with 225/40/16 tires and a +10 offset. I have bubble flares, and they don't fit in the front even with flares, I ran some 15mm spacers and it cleared the strut, but sticks out past the flares.

So you will not fit a 8 inch wide rim in the front unless you have huge flares and a 0 offset.

I currently have 15" wheels. But I want to upgrade to most likely 17".Here is an example with somebody with some 18"'s and the front look like they have a pretty descent size lip.I dont know what his offset is but they don't look like they are sticking out.

it looks like the car's had a little fender work done on it too.

it's kinda hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like the rear has been rolled a little.

I for one am not a fan of rubber bands like that...it won't handle as good without some sidewall.

I think 17's is pushing it but whatever gets your drank spinning

anyhow I believe the stock offset would be zero or slose to it, and I assume the dime like the Z's has limited backspace unless you add coil overs, which on the s30 is aobut 4" total backspace and about 5" with coil overs, so a zerp offset 8 would be a really close fit, as for the rear I don't know how much room you'll have with those swing arms, could be limited in the rear? and fender clearance I have no idea, might need flares

510s are not meant to be donks.
