Help please.

Found a place that reconditions hold JDM wheels. Right now they have 18 inch racing hart c2’s. Now they are custom making the width and offset for me. But I don’t know what to ask for. Can anybody help me choose the correct size so I don’t have the wrong size made.

I’ve seen a lot of people run 18“ x 10“ in the rear.
In the front I’ve seen all different numbers. I’ve seen 18 x 8”. I’ve seen 18 x 8 1/2”. I’ve seen 18 x 9”.
In the front I’ve seen all different numbers. I’ve seen 18 x 8“. I’ve seen 18 x 8 1/2“. I’ve seen 18 x 9“.
Also they would like to know what offset do I want in the front and rear.

I’ve talked with somebody who has 18 by eights in the front. And he is running +35 offset. And he is running 18 x 10“ in the rear with +45 offset.

But I don’t know if those numbers are universal for all wheels.

I’d like to go as wide as possible in the rear. But I don’t wanna run into any issues with robbing the wheels or fenders or having to customize the fenders. Same for the front.

The front offset is going to greatly depend on the design and thickness of the spokes due to the fat 4 pot calipers. You will likely need to mock up the fronts to make sure that the resulting custom offset fits. The "danger range" if I remember correctly is between low and mid 30s. In fact since its all a custom job I would say the best thing to do it get them to assist you, take your car to their shop and mock up the fronts and the back. I don't imagine its a cheap endeavor and if they are worth a damn at customer service they will happily help you.

Thanks for the reply.
Hmm... might be hard to do being they are 2,000+ miles away.

Yeah in that might be. . . In that case I'd get a complete set of specs on the wheels and use a straightedge and some math. When its a game of millimetres you don't want to be off.

Wow thats fantastic
I was looking @ offsets similar to those and the exact same tire size.

Do you have any tire/wheel poke? Can you take some pics and post from directly above wheel and behind so i can see
