I am considering purchasing a pre-owned 2006 M35 from my local infiniti dealer. He has advertised the car as a 2006 M35x AWD. The identification on the rear of the vehicle is "M35" not "M35X". Can this be correct?

I have a M35 all wheel drive and it says M35x on the badgeIts possible they broke the "x" off when waxing it, you can check with the VIN number

someone here posted the how to read the VIN, search for that, and it will explain the part of the VIN that can be used to see if its AWD. tk

More than likely the dealer is mistaken.

I use that word lightly, as im guessing hes not trying to dupe you....but they often advertise the descriptions incorrectly on their listings (type, color, etc...)

There is a chance the X got knocked off...but I bet the dealer got it wrong.

Good luck either way, youll be glad you got into an M!

BTW, how many miles on it, and how much $$ is the dealer asking?

VIN is for a 2WD. It has 16K miles. He is asking 34K. What do you think?

The original pricing of a M35 could vary by $10K from base price to a car with the premium package. A car with the Technology and Journey packages would add about $7K. These major options are very nice and I would not have bought my M35X without some of them.

A base M35 with 24K was listed at about $31K locally, so I assume your car has no major options. For that, it seems a bit high. You might miss the major options later on, so look around a bit.

I would take this with a grain of sand, but Kelly Blue Book shows the following for a M35 with just standard equipment, 16000 miles, vehicle in excellent condition in your zip code:

Dealer resale $37010Trade IN $31175Private Party $34040
