need help u 1010 engine code??

i have a 2006m35x with 97,000 miles and no warranty.i turned on my car and the vdc light ,awd light and the check engine light was on. i went to auto zone to get the car scanned and they said it was a u1010 engine code can comm. i did some research and found out that this code is caused by faulty ecm grounding points.i also found out that there is a tsb for this code that only affects the 2006 m.does anyone know where the grounding points for the ecm are and if they are accessible with out removeing the dash?i really dont want to bring the car to the stealership and get raped.the car runs fine but i dont want to cause any harm to the car driveing it with this code.all help would be deeply appreciated. thx

today i dissconected the negative battery terminal and found three wires that were grounded to the cars chasis under the hood.i removed the bolts and cleaned the female connections as well as the surroundng areas. i put everything back started the car and the check engine light disapeared.Now i have another problem i no longer have access to my sattelite radio channels .Everything is am or fm in every a,b,c, catergory any suggestions??????????????

Try cycleling the radio button on the center command boar..

is it possible that signal from my satelite reciever could have something to do with this u1010 engine code ?just puting it out there since the check engine light is gone and i dont have any satellite radio . where is the satelite reciever located ?maybe a plug or harness wire is loose.

In the trunk. Check the upper right hand side. You will need to remove the top liner to get to it...

i removed the plugs to the satelite reciever and re plugged them. still no satelite channels. i'm totally stumped! wheres steve the tech when you need him?lol

after playing with my radio for over 2 hr's i was finally able to regain my satelite channels.Every channel in the a,b and c categories (ex.a1,b5,c3 etc.)has three functions (am,fm,and satellite).By pressing the radio button you can access these three functions for each individual channel. i should have read the manual! lol
