What do you need to know specifically as far as settings go? I have no experience with emanage software, but the settings should be similar across manufacturers.

Time to start learning about your new car :yesnod

So far you've thrown a guess at a MAF issue, wiring issue, and computer issue. That narrows it down to the entire engine harness. haha! Did the car run after the shop wired everything up? Are the fuel lines reversed? I know these are stupid questions, but you'd be surprised at some of the things that get missed.

Well.before i got it back it was running.. the guys at the shop.said the maf was going bad and that i shoild upgrade to the 300zx 4 wire maf.. which i did.. now it doesnt want to run.. im pretty sure its now a tuning issue with the emanage ultimate.. i have a laptop hooked up and it lets me select parameters and stuff but for some reason it doesnt want to execute anything i tell it to..

I just bought new spark plugs and a fuel filter and oil filter.. to help it out (runs rich) might have a fouled plug and who.knows when the last time they were changed.. im also gunna get some new gas mixed in..

Did you change the MAF settings when you changed the MAF?

If it is not saving the changes you make, check to make sure the power wiring to the emanage is correct.

start by checking the wire connections, especially if you/they used those scotchlock/vampire connectors. Those are terrible, soder and heat shrink... Car should still run without the MAF, poorly but none the less...

I have an s13 with rb20det in downtown Columbia. I am not an expert though. My car is not running right either. I do have datascan if you want to hook yours up to that one day you are welcome to it. PM me your email or phone number.

what mods do you have installed? if you dont have any then why the e-manage. if it were me and i didnt have any modest mods,ie, bigger injectors, turbo, etc, then drop the e-manage for the time being. the stock ecu should suffice just fine for the time being. it just makes it one less obstacle to deal with when getting it to run. once its running decently, then wire up the emanage, shouldnt be hard to do that. also, i am completely unfamiliar with your mechanical knowledge, but for the sake of argument, im going to go with not alot, not trying to offend, but you should also check for vac leaks, are you running a recirc blowoff valve or is it atmosperic meaning it just dumps it out in to the where ever you have it pointed?

Atmospheric..

Ive got 850cc injectors
Spa 5000 series turbo
Q45 throttlebody
Isis intake manifold
Z32 maf

Im a tech for ford motor co.. and without having done the motor swap myself this stuff geys mad. Onfusing..

Im thinking on replacing the whole harness and redoing all the vacuum lines..

Is there a diy/know it all manual for the rb? I need to study up on this motor and learn what i can..

Plug the atmospheric port to the BOV for troubleshooting purposes. That's not the right way to have it set up with a maf car, especially if it's a bypass valve that's open at idle. That may explain the dying problem you had.

Did you put the 850s on at the same time as the maf? If you haven't done anything to compensate for the injectors it's not going to run at all.
