Hello, so some background first. I own a 1999 Infiniti I30, and about 7 months ago my blower motor stopped working. I first thought that was the underlying problem, so I changed it, and it started working again for about a day. When I did more research I thought it to be the resistor (and I'm pretty sure it still is the main problem), so I bought a new one and changed the old one out. That didn't help, so I also changed out the connector for the resistor, didn't help either. I decided to keep my old one in, and occasionally it will work for a few days (as normal, all speeds, temp controls, etc) and then stop out of nowhere. Climate control is fine, but the blower motor won't turn on. I'm not too well versed when it comes to electrical problems, I can handle anything mechanical, but this is a whole new ball game to me. I have multi-meter that I have used on it, and while checking in to it, to see if I could decipher the problem, I came across a strange occurrence. I uploaded a video of it to youtube, basically when make the multi-meter touch those two parts in the video, it works perfectly, but as soon as both parts are not in connection, it stops working again. I've been trying to figure this out for a long time now (too long), so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd be disappointed in myself if I couldn't finish the job. Thanks!

Sorry about the video quality, I didn't have anyone to help me at the time.

Update: I ran a line of solder to connect the two points in the video, and everything seems to be working perfectly. I'm not sure how long term this will last, or if it's safe, so if anybody can give me any tips, I'd appreciate it!

If it keeps happening you might have some issues with your AC
If there is more trouble you can rent a set of gauges from O'Reilleys and check
your high side and low side pressures in your AC system first
don't invade the system except by hooking up the gauges on the hi and low side
You could be low on Freon but I wouldn't just fill it up with one of those quickie ac kits,
they could worsen your problem

Also, go to the shop manual and try to diagnose whether the clutch to your AC is turning as well
When you turn on your AC unit you should hear it clicking on
