NEED HELP! Tried to change xeon bulb in my 01' QX4 - now no power to headlights

Hi all,

Today I tried to change one of the xeon bulbs in my 01 QX4, and now have no power comming to the lights on either side. Fogs and turn signals work, but I put a voltage meter on it and absolutely no power is getting to the low beams (xeon) bulbs. This has to be a fuse right? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if it is a fuse, where would it be located.

Welcome to NICO. How long have you owned your Q?

Sounds like it could be a fuse... don't you have a book? Have you searched the site for a service manual or fuse diagram?

I don't have mine in front of me but could check it out later today if you arn't able to search for it here.

Hi - Thanks for the reply. I have owned my QX4 for about 3 yrs now. We found out this morning that one of my HID Ballast was bad.... Pretty expensive part, but al least I will be able to make my lights work again...Thanks for your help..

ok. I have replace my HID's lots of times in my mom's QX4. Make sure the little "cap" that snaps on to the bulb, i guess its the igniter, is on really tight, and screwed into the actual headlight body. If that doesnt work, check the fuse. In the engine bay, i think on the drivers side there is a fuse box. It should say headlights. If not, look at the other fuse box on the passenger side. If this doesnt work, then check the connections again. lastly, go to a Nissan place
