buy something with a v8 in it . seriously maxima's/i30's are not racecars. they can be decently quick, but I can not say fast

Dude ran a 10.98, so if you want something fast, IMHO start with a different platformoh, and welcome.

I agree with tiger shark dude. My I30 has good power but if you want a platform to build on try something else. Having said that, they can go pretty quick. Exhaust would be my first choice.

Street racing... jeez seriously. I thought that crap would have died out after the news of the family of 4 being killed by a street racer that lost control through an intersection...

And it's illegal in all 50 states.And in Florida, they TAKE YOUR CAR now... (no you can't get it back, it's under commission of a crime clause) - and the fines, possible jail time, lose of license really make it not worth it.

Aside from what 'Siath' has said, in CA if you are found guilty of illegal street racing, your car will be impounded then CRUSHED...yes, CRUSHED. I'm not sure if that applies to TX.

What everyone said is true. We frown upon street racing here as it is a highly dangerous and illegal thing to do. That being said, welcome and enjoy your stay.

.....only if you own your vehicle. if the vehicle is owned by a finance company (meaning if you make payments on your car) , the car is forcibly returned to the finance company against your will and then sold at auction, leaving you stuck with a repossesion on your record (and no car).
