I was changing the brakes on my QX4 and just couldn't get those drums off. (Yes I did have the emergency brake off.)Does anyone know the details on what kind of bolt I need to put in those holes to help push the drum off? I'm gonna have to go buy these bolts and I'm not good at eyeballing those things.

I don't know the differences for a QX4 drum versus a regular old drum, but you can try putting the wheel back on and backing up a few feet and see if it will come off any easier(loosen it up). I know it seems like it won't come off but hitting it with a hammer from the back side rim has always gotten my drums to come off on previous/other peoples cars. Hope this helps.

It sounds like there is a ridge inside of a drum. In order to take it of, you have to back brake shoes off a bit to compensate for increased overal diameter inside the drum. It can be done from the back of the backing plate through the inspection hole!Cheers! In pic shown brake shoe adjuster, you have too back it off in order to remove drums.

So you think it's still the Emergency Brake. I'll try backing up and then adjusting the adjuster if still needed. Thanks for the tips. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Assuming the bolts are the same as the Q, they should be M8 x 1.25.
