Car: None yet but im getting ready to build one!

Post

WEll hello fellow 240 lovers! My name is HOOCH and i m new here and have a couple noob questions! I just got a new job and the pay is very good but i will be gone alot and i want to get back into building a silvia, had one a few years back that was pretty fast but now i want to build one that is stupid fast kinda overkill. Problem is i live in NW Montana and dont have access to any good tuning or machine shops in my area so i will need to send off, plus side is i will be doing most the work myself as i am no strange to the wrench. So can anybody help me out and give some name and numbers of good tuning/machine shops that are kinda close to me like Seattle, Portland area maybe even northern Cali.???? Im looking for the best of the best!!!

My plans are not set in stone but im looking at BC 2.35L stroker kit with stage 3 cams 272degrees/12.5lift, and a peak boost T3/T04E top mount turbo (they claim for 500hp+?), 850cc Border fuel system, and all the other goodies to go along with it! The total in parts comes out to $10,120.00 :ohno: but should make for one nasty car!

Thanks in advanced

You asked for the best of the best http://www.mazworx.com/. If you have them do the work double that price.

You want to go with someone in the 240 community. Check Zilvia.net for vendors.

Call one of those close to you. I think there is a good one in the Portland/Seattle area, actually.

Get in contact with them, and mention what you want to do, and let them price it all out for you, and then get a good quote and go from there.

But make sure they have a drift team or something, so if they ruin your car or experience, you can tell us ALL about it!

Best ones in WA are UP Garage in Tacoma and Drift Office in Auburn. Both places have dynos and the owners and staff are very experienced. My car's actually at UP Garage right now getting dyno tuned. Just google "UP Garage USA" and/or "Drift Office Auburn". In Portland, I've heard good things about PSI. Can't go wrong with any of these places.

If you've never heard of UP Garage, here's a car drift car they built up for someone. They've built many cars and have seen a lot more than 99.9% of people on here, so they'll give you their advice (as that's what good shops should do), but some people take that as an insult on their intelligence. In the end it's your money though, so you make the final call.
