Hi there,

I have an R32 GTR, and I need someone to help me title this car! I have tried the kit car method via my state, and they refuse to even VIN inspect my car. I have heard about the Florida method, but the problem is the last person I spoke to about this wanted $2200, and I don't have that kind of money. Can anyone help me here for a lesser fee?

Thanks!

Sorry to be the one to have to tell you this, mate, but that's what you get for buying an illegal car.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Florida method", but there is NO way AT ALL to get your car federally legalized. You are SOL.

Should someone offer to "legalize" your vehicle for you, I suggest you get ALL the details and post them on this forum, in this thread, and ask for the users here to help check out the company and the method. You might as well have a big "SCAM ME" tattooed on your forehead, so please be careful.

If Washington state won't allow the registration of a grey-market car, then registering it in a different state won't do you any good unless you want to move to that other state.

That doesn't have anything to do with the OP's question. Titling an R32 legally is impossible. You can do many different ways to get a title, but it still won't make it legal.

As long as the OP doesn't mind driving an illegal car and breaking the law any time he/drives it, then who are we to stop him?

!! sorry there. lol I missed some important info.

What did you do when you went to dmv and what did they say?

Second, have you tried going to your local police station. They should have the paperwork there and will be able to check the vin. Which depending on how competent they are may mean they will just give you an ok paper.

Gold Digger is right though that it is possible but its not 100%.

My response is that maybe im just sinical and that I look at it like if I buy the chassis, doors, hood, trunk, motor and all supporting items like wheels and brakes, pass all my safety inspections (road worthiness), and the state allows me to register, title, and insure, then godamit, Im gonna drive the car with no qualms.

Depending on where you live and what the emission requirements are its a gamble.

In South Carolina all I did was , Translate the Shipping documents/ Deportation title. Insurance is under a grey mkt. vehicle
