I am trying to figure out the best settup for me to go with that compromise all my driving styles.

95 240sx SE (5-lug) THe car will be operated in Phoenix almost 100% of the time which means NO rain/snow for me at all. If/when it does rain then I would be inclined to drive carefully. I guess my budget would be under about $1500. Yes I would buy used if the wheels were in good shape, but i would love to spend the money on tires and get a good deal on some wheels and pay a LOT less (this way i could have some really nice tires) -- I just don't know exactly what to look for.

The car will definetly be set with coilovers in the very near future. I will be driving it daily, auto-x'ing about once/twice a month and the occasional spirited driving. I really do NOT care about wet weather or all-season tires at all. Drag racing I could care less about and drifting is not big on my list. I am wanting something light ofcourse (or at leist NOT heavier than stock, unless they are really cheap) The streets in phoenix are pretty smooth for the most part (aside from downtown) so thats all cool there..doesn't have to be forged ;)

I would even like to possibly get some mustang wheels for the "cheap" factor. I am having a hard time finding the 17x8 +35mm offset wheels so I kinda gave up. I have read all about hubcentric stuff and threads on people using lugcentric wheels instead... In my experience its been ok using lugcentric wheels so I don't mind doing so on my 240sx. 70.5 is the bore size on the wheels and 66.06 for nissan. Do you think that getting a 4mm spacer would be better than not having one at all? I would think that they do not make a 4.44mm spacer to perfectly make the stang wheels fit :p Having a huge lip isnt entirely necessary, just something around 7.5-8" wide that will fit 225-235 tires on there easily. Also I do not think I want staggered settup either.

Anyhow I am thinking that the Falken Zeux 512 or Khumo 712's are what I will be gettgin for the tread wear and decent dry performance. If I found a cheap set of wheels then the Azena's or somethign better will be in place of these.

I am just looking for some suggestions on wheels. I will probably be wanting a 17" wheel that will simply clear my coilovers. A 225/45/17 is only 3mm off of the size of the stock 205/55/16's so i think that will probably be my tire size as I know its an option for most all performance type of tires and not to expensive either. Wheel suggestions would be cool, the lighter the better obviously! Thanks for reading all :ylsuper

For tires in that wear range that you are looking for, i'd probably go with some Yokohama avs es100's and as far as wheels go....Look into some 5zigen FN01R-C's. I'm not sure what sizes are offered with either one of those but they are good choices that will put you a fair amount under $1500. Check them out...its a start at least.

Thanks for the tire input... I should have also mentioned that the FNO1R-C's are a little to plentiful on 240's so I think I want to stay clear of those (though they are nice and light)....

Hmmm....personally i run Kosei K1's but i believe those are either discontinued or soon to be discontinued.

As far as other decent priced light rims go, they are hard to find in nissan friendly sizes. Hopefully someone else will chime in with some insight. Wheel selection is very difficult in the sizes and offset the 240 requires.

Get the G35 coupe wheels! They are the exact sizes you want, cheap, and perfect for Nissans!. :)

17x7.5" (f) 30mm17x8.0" (r) 33mm

They clear Z calipers, are hubcentric, and will clear coilovers. They also look darn good on my car but I think they'd look better on an s14. Here's the link to my car.http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....t=g35

Here's an ebay auction (I wouldn't bid though, you can wait for another auction and be the only bidder...they pop up on ebay all the time):http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...43957

Oh, btw. You can get those hubcentric rings custom made to fit stang wheels.

I also noticed you don't want to stagger...if it's to rotate, then these are not the wheels for you...sorry. I run the same tires all around and the car feels nice. My $.02.

Exactly I want to be able to rotate, get same size tires...etc I saw your post a while back--no offense at ALL-- but i really didn't like those wheels. Thanks for the idea's though, and I mean that guys. Im really clueless to. I have bought wheels for LOTS of cars before and never had a harder time then with this s14. I thought about some Kosei K1's as well... I think that they make custom sets for you in any size and offset you want for a little more. Whats kinda cool is there is no lip still even with a 8" wide +25 offset wheelbecause the center hub just changes and the spokes grow with it. Anyhow thanks! keep em comin'

Uh...where are all the 240s with FN01R-Cs? Ive seen one S14 with them on NICO...and thats it. I really wanna see some on an S13 hatch as thats what I want to get....so where some pics or something?

As for the tires, you may want to look into the new Kumho ASX tires, they seem to be on the same level as the Zeix 512. I had the Falkens on my car a while back (205/60-15) and they were decent...not as sticky as I imagined, but with a ~420 treadwear rating I guess its pretty good. I figure the Escta Supra 712s will stick better cuz they have like a high 200 treadwear rating...

I have Konig Imagines on my car, 17" silver finish. It's a 96 SE. They look killer, are fairly light, and dont cost an arm and a leg. I just ordered the Falken Ziex 512s (along with a new wheels b/c one got bent last week :( ) I've had good experience with Falkens, I had some Yoko Avids.....they aren't worth a crap. Good luck man!!

:( sorry man... just don't like those wheels :p

I guess there aren't that many with FNOR1-C's or w/e. I love the Volk gram lights soooo much but those in 17x8 w/ decent tires are pretty dang pricey. I can't really find anywhere that sells em for less than about $230 per wheel. Thanks for the input guys...

Grant: those are cool wheels I just think they look a little to much like my stock SE wheels :p Do you know how much those weigh?

I know I'm digging up an old post Grant, but will these clear coilovers and z-brakes/big breaks, without spacers?? Also, I don't see Falken wheels on your website, did I miss them? I love Azenis and they're pretty cheap, although they are heavy.

quick question while we're on the topic, im making my stock wheels dedicated winter wheels and ma looking at summer wheels, i have been looking at going 17x7.5 with the 35 mil offset and throwing a 5mm spacer behind them to keep the same as factory, just glancing at the clearance though it doesn't look to promising with the factory suspension (i can't even come close to affording coilovers yet) specifically somethign in a 35 series tire?

they will work with a 5mm spacer... 17x8 +30 works fine on mine (s14) with coils. So a 1/4" less on the inside (7.5" whl) will have even more room

21.5 lbs. isn't exactly lightweight.
