need help? (throwing codes)

i have a s14 that has a s13 ka24de motor and manual transmission. the check engine light is on and the code is crank angle sensor. how do I suppose to over come this code?

Try diagnosing it first. Throwing parts at it is wrong.

Go DL an FSM for the S13 first.

if i remember, the S14 crank angle sensor is located on.. or in the transmission, (different from the S13) .. that may cause it.

The S14 doesn't really have a "crank" sensor, its on top of the trans bellhousing at the motor, so yeah...

Did you use the S13 harness or the S14 harness?

actually the crank sensor is located built in the distribuitor... the sensor located in the transmission is used for turbine speed, this signal is use by tcm for shift gears as well the speed sensor...
