Have a ca18det in 93 240 tuned on mines ecu and at idle it is lean as hell and idling at 500rpm. Checked all vacuum hoses and replaced cracked ones didnt work. Im new with 240s and turboed cars. So just needed guided in the right direction. Thanks

Do you know what the tune is on that Mine's ECU? From what I've read over the years, no one seems to really know what the maps are and what it was tuned for, as in supporting mods.

As for Idle, there's a screw on the IAVC, I think that's what it was called... been a while lol but it's off the intake manifold. You can screw it in and out to adjust your idle. This is covered in the FSM and if you don't have a copy for it, it's up top in one of the stickies.

The FSM will cover the things you can check, before dumping money on something that isn't broken :S check your timing, ignition timing and you can use the ECU to check for error codes for bad sensors.

lean idle and not idling high sounds like a vac leak, post MAFS, pre-TB.

Also check the butterfly valve manifold seals. They leak alot and people wonder why they have weird problems ;)
