need help!!!

ok i was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem. my 96 maxima will start everytime but sometimes it wants to but wont it takes a couple of cranks it doesnt do it all the time just after been drivin for awhile it hesitates then starts the battery and altenator are brand new any advice?

Yes, actually, I've had that problem every once in a while, too. My battery is fine, had it checked, alternator's good. I had a tune-up about 20k miles ago, so that's not it. Only thing I could think of was a bad starter, but it's cranking like crazy, just not turning over. And it's not like it only starts in warm weather or only hesitates in cold, nothing like that, so that stumps me even more!
