I just receive my Stillen Front Lip and want to install it myself. Does anyone know the correct way to install the Lip? It came with 4 screws and 6 pins. What exactly are the pins for? and where should the 4 screws be located? If anyone installed the Lip and has pictures, that would help alot! or just post pictures of where the installer attached the screws and pins. Thanks

It should have come with detailed instructions buddy. If not, call STILLEN and have them ship a set to you

I had this same problem. The instructions make no mention of screws or pins. It just mentions the double sided tape.

I installed mine myself. It is really easy and I only used 2 of the screws. I put 1 on each side. If you are looking at the back of the front lip, you will see 2 tabs on the far left, about an inch from the bottom. This is where the far lip locks aroung the wheel well. I put one screw threw each and into the stock bumper.

You wont need anything more than that. The double sided tape is really strong and will defenetly hold it in place once it sets. The screws are just to ensure that if you hit something hard enough, your lip wont go flying away.

Make sure you take the front bumper completely off and clean it well. Plus you may want to throw a little extra double sided tape on there as well. Sorry I was in so excited to put mine on, that I didnt take pics. But if you have any other questions, just email me.

P.S. The directions don't say anything about the screws. There arnt manditory to hold it on, its just some added insurance so it can't go flying off.

So - of the 4 screws and 6 pins - you only used 2 screws. Is the lip designed so that the remaining 2 screws and pins - replace the factory screws and pins securing the lip under the front bumper?

Uhmm, i got my lip from stillen the other day, the instructions make no mention of screws/pins/or rivets, nor did my package come with any of these. I understand that the double sided tape is sufficient, however, if i did want some extra security, what type of screws should i purchase? regular body screws? (sorry if this has been answered already, but i couldnt find anything specific in the search)

I emailed Stillen and they advised:

"The kit you purchased does not require screws or pop rivets. Some of our other kits do and so the folks on the forums may have received them as part of their kit or simply by accident. The front lip should only need a light sanding. You can use 220 grit and a final once over with a finer grit. For the most part the cleanser and a Scotchbrite pad are normally sufficient to scuff up the surface prior to paint.

So i guess i'll have to buy some screws.
