Hi, I'm trying to start with installing the rear suspension first. I have a few concerns right now:

1) for the height of the rear coilover, it doesn't seem would fit with my stock rims. It seems is too short. (I haven't touch the original setting)

2) The rear room seems surprisingly lack of clearance; there is a nut seems like about 2~3cm from touching the bottom of the shock. Is it normal?

3) the bottom screw seems is too short because the stock shock is thiner at the screw area.

4) I also notice the bottom of the shock is adjustable too, should I adjust the height there?

This is a s14. I tried to search everything but is there any where has height suggestion. What is the proper height?

hope to get some help quick, thanks!

just install the front and rear. play with the height after all four corners are installed to get it where you want it. you'll probly have to adjust the height a few times to get all the corners even.

1) there's really no "original settings." Once the coilovers are assembled, they just toss them into the box and ship it. You're height settings are made after you put them on.

2) huh? pix?

3) blasphemy! pix? The fitment should be the same. You put everything back the way it was as if the stock shock was there. Nothing is supposed to be different.

4) yeah. Its called preload. Just install them first (get all the bolts on), then with like rubber gloves on (or something with grip), grab the shock body and rotate it by hand to raise or lower it.
