Alright, so I am a new sr20det owner and am having some serious issues.I have been bogging down at about 3000-3500 rpm. When I shortened the gap on the spark plugs it ran fine up to 6500. Then it started bogging again. Changed the spark plugs and ran fine, then started bogging again, now at 2500 rpm. Finally with new plugs (old ones were filthy after 10 minutes of running) again, it started bogging at 1500. Now it won't even start.

I bought new spark plugs. I changed out the coils. I tried another distributer. Nothing seems to work.

Can someone help?

are u running rich? im guessing you are since u said the plugs get filthy after 10 minutes. Do u have your BOV recircualted. make sure u have no vac leaks. i had this problem with my SR awhile ago. let me know how it turns out.

What's your fuel system setup? (pump? fpr?)And I'll move this to the SR section when you respond.

Definately running rich...but I just bought this car, its my first turbo'd car. I'm not really following on what the "BOV recirculated" is and I know the car has 550 injectors, but don't know the pump/fpr.

When trying to start the motor also hangs.

I appreciate your quick responses.

You're running rich. If your FPR is stock, it could possibly be failing causing erratic fuel pressure. This would cause it to cut out at any RPM, depending more on engine load. Are you running stock boost? Do you have a fuel pump pushing those 550ccs? Also check your coolant temp sensor, as it may show a negative temperature. That also could cause the ECU to dump too much fuel.
