Hey everyone im new to this forum and i love it. It probably has the most information ive found. NOw a problem i was hoping could get solved. I recently put a red top in my fastback and it ran great untill my buddy tried to but a sard 550 injector in it. it didnt fit so he put it all back together and now the car runs like ****. It will sputter untill i hit boost and when i take my foot off the gas it back fires real bad. Also i notice the vacume drops when i hit the gas slightly. I figured it was a vacume leak, but i emptied a can of carb cleaner on every hose and clamp and found no leaks. So i was wondering if maybe it had to do with the fuel injector o rings? I figured this would cause a fuel leak and there is no fuel anywhere? I dont know and its killing me, if anyone can lend any insight please do thanks.

If the o-rings are torn or stretched out too much it could cause a vacuum leak.

also are you sure that when you reconnected all of the wires you connected the correct colors to the correct # fuel injector?

yea we only disconnected one fuel injector, i cant figure it out. I even went as far and changed all my vacume lines, zip tied them down, and tightened all my clamps down. Still runs like crap?

well it seems like it would obviosly be that fuel injector giving you trouble..are you sure its pushed down all the way? maybe its a coincidence that it just happened to be something else going bad at this time...check over that fuel injector dont be so sure..and also check your ecu for codes
