Hello everyone it has been awhile but I am back and ready to start up my project back up. but I have a couple things I want to get done before I start. the first thing is my side rockers keep on falling off I have the stillen side rockers and stille has said that 3mm tape would hold the rocker and I have to keep on putting no tape on every 2 month and it is getting annoying. so I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and has made a solution. the second thing is I have a gap between my hood and front bumper again I was hoping someone had this problem and has fixed it

There is really no tape on the planet that will hold pieces like that in place, the rain itself is you enemy there. Any acid in it eats tape adhesive like crazy and the force or water hitting the panel then takes it loose.

On hood if the central latching location is no longer used then your problem. Natural heat warping (all plastics on the planet do it) is warping the hood up in center with nothing to hold it down. Where the holes ended up in space for the perceived corner holddowns may be making it worse, too close together and they force the hood up in the center.

Custom parts = custom problems nobody else has............

The gap between the hood and the grill/front fascia is a common issue in the altima coupes

When I was looking for a good altima to buy, a several of them had this issue

So I think the front fascia need to be right attached with the clips in the top front edge

Then why complain about what is apparently 'normal' there..................I daresay you didn't buy a new car looking like that...................my judging of the pic and trying to include the slight angle it was shot at seem to indicate the hood is curved up in center and the front grille surround is dead flat across the top, that screams hood is the problem rather than grillework. The placement of the outer hood holddowns reinforce that if indeed they are actual holddowns and not just eye candy pieces. A true centered single holddown like OEM could be adjusted to bring some of that out.

But then I tend to think WAY out of the box and why so many things I do turn out right when others say no, no, no, you can't do that.

Look at what changed from the OEM there, the hood, no way will I accept that they all have problems that great. More evidence? Look at your outer plates that appear to screw into the hood, they don't fit dead flat on the hood surface either at the front. What custom hoods do better than anything else, not fit exactly right like you want. You have to bend them into proper fit using a variety of ways that hopefully do not lead to cracking later. I used to install glass pieces on a lot of race cars, NONE of that stuff ever fits 100% right until you make it happen yourself.

The OEMS may not fit perfect either but in your case I'm pretty sure the hood is adding to the error there.

Luck.......................mine does not look like that at all.
