so of course i'm having some minor problems with the car, as always.first off, about 1/2 a year ago when i took off the intake manifold and redid the vacuum lines and what not i noticed these secondary throttle body looking things sitting at the end of the intake runners, just before the pcv inlets... i noticed they are controlled by vacuum and the other day i was having some issues with idle and hesitation. i checked all the pipes and everything that would possibly cause this but had no luck finding a problem. there was a high pitched whistle coming from the back of the intake manifold so i started fiddling with things back there and when i moved the control arm on that secondary throttle body thing my idle jumped up a bit. can someone explain these things to me and if they could malfunction or whatever, just let me know all the details.the other thing is that lately my cars idle has been kind of weird at times. it doesn't do this often but sometimes i'll be sitting there and then the car will drop down really low and almost die then shoot up again... weird idle. then the other day, this is the first time this has happened and it hasn't happened since, but i got in my car and started to drive and it wouldn't go... it hesitated like crazy as if the mafs was disconnected, but all the plumbing seems fine and there are no apparent leaks or anything like that. the hesitation was short and like 1 minute later the car drove fine, as if nothing had happened. it hasn't done that since then. i'm guessing that the idle and the hesitation are related, but i mean usually in these circumstances i know exactly where to turn... the plumbing and the mafs and stuff like that because this is generally a rpoblem related to air getting into the engine but not passing the mafs... well i have had no luck finding such an instance so i'm wondering what else could be the problem... i have a walbro pump and a rrfpr also and have heard of these things having problems... could the pump be the problem? it seems to be running rich all the time also. anyway any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.
