I recently installed a home-made hydrogen generator on my 2007 Versa with CVT. The idea is that the HHO gas is produced and ran into the air intake. You then modify the air intake sensor signal to lean the air/fuel mixture saving you gas. My car now rev's up and bounces the rmp's up and down. Ex. On the fwy my rpm's will be at 2,000 then rev up to 2,500 rpm's. It does this every 4 seconds or so. Any idea's ? Everything on the generator side is back to factory settings.

Thanks

It looks like my MAP enhancer malfunctioned. I rewired my sensor without the enhancer and my car is now running normally.

Thank you to all who put time into this.

Just curious, does it gives you more mileage or HP? or....

It gave both, but it looks like it may not have been the MAP enhancer. Later in the day my car looses power, I press on the gas but nothing happends. The service engine soon light comes on with this code: P0746 Pressure Control Solenoid Performance or Stuck Off. Any ideas on what this means? How to fix?

No offense - but it does not work. High school chemistry and physics... you can simply not create more energy by using electricity generated by the car to distill water and create hydrogen to burn. If it worked - humans would have stopped using gasoline engines long ago.

The rpm jumping up and down is caused by the increased electrical load your snakeoil generator is creating. The same effect can be replicated by say... pressing the power window buttons.

You would be right, but adding KOH (potassium hydraxide) adds in the seperation of the H2O producing enough HHO. It does work.

It is not a question of how much "HHO" you create.

Conservation of Energy. You simply cannot create more kinetic energy from the combustion of the HHO than the electrical load placed on the car's engine powered generator.

All KOH does is increase electrical conductivity - it does not add energy to the system.

Seriously dude - just push your power windows and hold it and you'll see the RPM go down. Your RPM fluctuation is probably the snakeoil system's electrical load.

You can crunch the numbers all you want. All I know is that I went from 32 mpg hwy to 41 mpg hwy.

no offense, but I find it very hard to believe that this hydrogen generator added ~30% better gas mileage. As Chalmers already said, you can not get more power out of a system than what you put in. This is like saying that you hook a battery up to water and get the hydrogen and use that to power something that uses more power than the initial battery. It just cant be done. If that was the case, you could run a car on water and a battery and use the H2 to power the car and recharge the battery. If you could figure out a way to do this, you would be a very, very rich man. Conservation of energy is a very basic physics principle. And KOH is used to make the water conduct the electricity. You could use acid or salt. This kit just happens to call for a base. This thing is probably doing more bad than good, and that is why your ECU is throwing off signals.
