need help replacing front main sean on the motor

hi im new here and need help replacing my Front main seal on my 83 datsun 720 z22 king cab truck can any one help me with this thanks

That's not one of the easier jobs simply because of the lack of space in the engine bay. Removing the water pump as well as everything else in front of the seal is first, and once everything is out of the way, you can then unbutton and pry the little sucker off. I would also drop the oil pan while you're at and knock it all out at once. We don't actually have DIY ready for this one and without the engine in front of me I can't walk you through it step by step. Hope that helps at least a little.

i was told something about having to take the harmonic balancer off is this true if so how to do this

Yes, that is true! Remove all belts and the socket needed to get the bolt off should be a 27mm.
