I'm a newb to the forum, but ran into a stopping point on 2001 Pathinder 3.5L V6 4x4...

Was replacing cracked radiator, belts & hoses, and was planning to replace the timing chain tensioner and water pump...

How do you get those timing chain tensioner and water pump covers off? Unbolted and attempted to get putty knife under the edge, but they are stuck on tight. Felt I was going to damage/break the covers? Any tips?

Maybe break them and buy new ones is the only way?

Regards - kojohns

bump - still looking for tips / tricks for removing these plastic covers that are held on with RTV sealant? These would be on any 3.5L V6, not just the pathfinder.
