need help removing door handle

Car: nissan 240sx se (93 240sx se and 95 240 sx se)

i have a 95 240sx and i need to repair the door lock on the passenger side but i cant get the handle out. i took off the two nuts but part of the lock is catching and keeping me from getting the handle out. any help would be appreciated.

did you take off the other metal rods running to it?

TTT...

I'm having the same problem. I realize the rods need to be taken off but I can't get the key cylinder rod out of the hole. Any suggestions?
