Previous owner removed the tank and pump. It's winter here, and I need it. I bought a used tank/pump from a member here. I tried to install it tonight by removing the fender liner. However, despite telling me the wiring is still there, it looks like the previous owner simply removed it. Now I am hoping he simply cut it so I can extend the wires. Now the question becomes, does anyone know where the wiring comes from? I'm guessing its from the passenger side firewall, but I'm not sure. There is an unplugged connector by the firewall and I was wondering if it could be it. I have a couple connectors by the passenger headlight and it could be it (initial check did not fit the pump connector). Does anyone know how the wiring goes? The 89 Service Manual is useless when it comes to this.

I'll attach a picture once I upload it to photobucket.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Just check all the connectors you see into the pump. The others might be for foglights and other extra options. Yes its on the passenger fender and I think it splits from the front end wiring harness right there. If thats a no-go, he probably cut it, so check all around behind the pass. wheel for cut 2 wires. The wires to the pump are only a foot long maybe.

Let me just clarify, two things:

1. Is the wiring solid from the steering wheel stalk to the pump itself? ie. no intermediate/mid wire connectors?

2. Is it in the same harness as the fogs lights, headlights, etc?

Thanks
