Need help reading ECU led

Hi, i have a nissan sunny zx with a ca18det engine fitted along with the ecu, it was running fine up until yetserday when it cut out while running. i checkd the ecu and as i switch the ignition on both red/green led light up and stay on. im sure it never previously did this. Any1 know what this means???Thanks.

Have you pulled the codes? I'm pretty sure both LED's should light up.

i have checkd the codes, its throwing up code 13=water temp sensor which is plugged in, but im sure on ignition just the green light used to light up and not the red

It sounds like you're water temp sensor is bad, replace that and see how that works.

should it not stil start up with a bd sensor tho, it just turns as if its gettig no spark, doesnt even try if you know what i mean
