Alright guys, im having problems with my ka-t setup with it running too rich (fouling out all four of my plugs). Heres the setup:

T25SR SMICRFL BOVSAFC IISSAC Bottom Mount ManifoldSSAC 3inch DPSSAC 3inch Dump Tube

So at first i thought it was my o-rings on my injs, so i pulled the injs and found 2/8 bad o-rings, replaced all 8...Still running rich. Then i thought it was my MAF, made sense, because i was running so rich even with the safc and the safc goes offa the MAF. So i got a working MAF, and it didnt change anything. So i went to check my safc wiring and found out that i crossed the input/output wires for the MAF from the SAFC, so i fixed those, started it up, but it wouldnt let me rev above 3k, almost like it was in limp mode. Now im thinkin that its my FPR (still the stocker), im thinkin that its not getting vacuum to open/close, my reasoning for this is because when i took out my AIV system i pulled off the vac hoses that connected from under the throttle body to the AIV. I know that i dont need the AIV, but i have 1 vac line that i put a screw in to block it off, the other one is being used for my BOV.

I really need some help, ive gotta get this thing running so i can get it tuned, im sick of not having a car and watching it sit in the garage and driveway. So please help me resolve this problem asap. Thanks in advance, sorry for the long post.

Check your injectors again. Think I told you the wrong method of install. Use wd40 and small twist action. Fidn a plug that is wet. Pull that injector and see what the rings look like.If it's good then go onto a new problem.

Pulled all injs, they were all fine, rings looked brand new. I put the injs in by using the wooden handle of a rubber mallet and twisting/pushing down on the top of the injs.

i dont know if it may happen to you, but it happend to me.

i had a injector that actually locked up on me completely. but when it becomes that extreme, you wouldn't be able to crank it at all casue it would just flood that one cylinder to the very top until it hydrolocked cylinder with fuel.

why don't you try swappin the stock injectors back in to see what happens?

Thats the problem, i dont have the 260s anymore, i have 2 of them the other 2 broke on me while i was trying to get them out. If i clean the plugs off, and crank the engine with out the injs connected it blows off all the eccess fuel in there and then after i put everything back together it starts up fine. So i really dont know, im running out of ideas to try.

go on the safc in the check sensor menu. this way you can actually see if the maf is getting proper voltage at idle or not. it will also show tps voltage

your suppose to see .9 -1.0 volts on the MAF signal. and your TPS voltage is suppose to be .45-.55 range.

I really dont know what to do, i put in a boost gauge and its reading -17 vac at idle, but the car isnt making anything cuz for some reason it wont rev past 2800-3k...I can hear the bov blow off, so i thought that maybe i had it too tight, so i loosened it...didnt help at all. I also moved a couple vac lines around, and hooked up the old vac lines back to the aiv sensor, but yet again this didnt help. I do hear the car backfiring out of the exhaust though...But heres a question for ya, when i was running pig *** rich because nothing was controlling my air/fuel flow (when the safc was wired wrong) could that have got gas on my o2 sensor and fouled it out or something. I just thought of this now as im typing this, so i havent pulled it. But could the o2 sensor have gone bad, sending the ecu into limp mode? Someone else told me it coulda been my water temp sensor....how could that have gone bad? Im just trying to think of different things....this is getting really frustrating everything i seem to do doesnt help the problem at all....please help me out here guys. Thanks, Ed

If it limites the revs to 2.8-3k rpm, then it's a maf malfunction.

Are you sure the safc was wired incorrectly the first time? It sounds like it's wired wrong now.
