SO i've got the engine out - removed all the visible bolts from the pan, including the few of them that go through bell housing to it. BUT, it still feels stiff, I don't want to continue prying on it until I know a couple answers.

Firstly -Is there a "hidden" bolt I haven't come across. I got the one's that are internally at the front of the engine, and the one's all the way around. And the 3 or 4 at the trans.

Secondly - Do I need trans off to take it off? This would make some sense as to it is most likely applying pressure to the pan.

Kinda need this quickly guys, thanks!

DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!!>@(*&9843534

Note to self - When you hear popping, it isn't the pan relieving from the block, but the aluminum block giving and cracking. AWESOME.

Looks like I get to refine my skills with the aluminum welder. . .Thankfully it isn't under any pressure or anything, just hope I get a nice seal on it.

I did I did!! BUT. Always that but.

I didn't realize the 2 bolts close together were at the rear of the block, I ASSUMED (yes, i know the meaning of the word) they were the 2 at the front of the block that run into the timing cover.

Anyone have any suggestions on the fact I'm going to be welding on the block? Like I said, it really is only the carrier for the seal from trans, which I don't believe is under pressure. . .

Anyone have a picture of the backside of the block (where trans bolts up)

That way I can show everyone where it broked'd. Honestly I'd like to get a few opinions on it.

WOO HOO. I found out what I broke off isn't apart of the block.

Its a part of the seal retainer. SO, got another question.

Does the SR20DE seal retainer/seal work for the SR20DET?

If so, I've got part numbers

seal - 12279-1N510

seal retainer - 12297-53J00.

Here are some pictures of what WAS devastation, hopefully not anymore. Unless the part numbers aren't the right one's.

Also, this bad for clutch? It dropped like all of 5 inches and did that. It doesn't look major, and I really don't feel like buying a new clutch seeing as this one is practically new.
