Need Help Quick

I got everything put back together, everything wired, every bolt and nut, everything. The head sawp went fine, no problems until now......

......the engine is firing outside the cylinder, I have tired everything, engine has spark, gas, compression is fine, timing seems to be fine. It turns over, shoots flames out in order of 1-3-4-2, wtf is wrong????? I am stumped the only possible thing I can think of is needing a higher octane fuel?????

I need help quick, because I have been trying to get it started all day, switching wires, moving vacuam hoses, moving the distributor and nothing has worked so far.

like backfiring through the exhaust? Sounds like your dist is 180 off or you have your order wrong. Aside from that I hope your cam timing is right. You do have compression, spark, and fuel correct? Whats your compression read?

Yea its like backfiring, cam timing is right, i did it exactly as Jim Wolf tech said on there site. I have spark, fuel is correct and the compression gauge I think is bad, but cylinder 1 was 155psi, 2 was 150psi, 3 was 160psi and 4 was 155psi.

Well, no matter what your gonna have to set back up at tdc to check a few things. I'd take your time and get #1 set up on true tdc and check your wires and make sure you're pointing just after #1 on the cap. If that's good I'd pull the valve cover and make sure your cams are perfectly in line with what the jwt doc says. Does this motor have turbo pistons? that's low compression. Could you have gotten the wrong cam for a single row on accident or vice versa? just throwin ideas....

well it started and ran for 20 secs after i re-timed everything. but now i lost all the spark.
