My moms truck has 12v at the battery and 12v on both sides of all the little connecters connected to the + batt term. There is nothing on inside the truck. The starter doesn't try and engage or anything. Like the battery is TOTALLY dead. But there is definately 12 volts at the batt. Also tried to turn everything on with the Charger hooked up. Still neg on the lights/radie/starter exc.

Thanks.

the plugs at the battery positive cable have 2 to 4 wires plugged into the 2 connectors. the wires are approx 3 inches in length and then there is anonther connection. unplug those connectors at that connection and check for voltage on those ports. I suspect one of those wires is dead. they all should show 12v. those are your main fusable links. they burn out internally inside the insulation.

I checked those and there was 12 volts all the way to the connector that is attached to the main harness. I fiddled a little just prodding around and the truck started. I'm guessing it could definatley be those plugs.

Yah they looked good. There was no resistance between the poast and the cable coming off the connector. My old man said that when it was "dead" the hedlights would come on. Not sure though I was still asleep. I KNOW that neither the dome light nore the interior lights would come on.
