Wes and I are really at a loss. As is my mechanic. Here's the story.

Two weeks ago, tried replacing the MAF connector on the Q. It has not been going very well. She'll turn over, but won't start. Fuel pump seems to be functioning fine, and was before I started this. It looks like I must've hooked something up improperly when changing the connector and fried something, but we don't know what...

Here's what's been tried:

New MAF and connector.New ECU (from Wes).ECU threw Code 11 (Crank Angle Sensor).Tried disconnecting CAS - ECU threw codes 11, 21 (Ignition Control Circuit), and 31 (Knock Sensor).

Frankly, I have no idea what's going on, and neither does Wes. Right now I've got it at my trusted local mechanic (independent), but he's not familiar with the Q. Should I get it towed to the local Nissan dealer? The nearest Infiniti dealer is 60 miles away...

sounds mysteriously like another 90-93 (navyman). check threads from 2-3 months ago. he ended up getting a 3rd ecu which fired it right up. not saying i know your problem, but possible that faulty maf wiring may messup your ecu (and the next one).

What voltage does the MAF send to ecu when turned on [but not cranked] ~~ 0.9-1.1 volts?

Check the crank angle sendor plugs to make sure they are connected fully. You may have bumped them when messing with the MAF and the airbox. Even if they seem fine, disconnect and reconnect. ECU may also be in fail-safe mode at this point.

I sent him a known good ECU.. I just ran my Q for an extended period of time on this ECU! Plus, the ECU fires up and he can pull codes...

Follow Tech's advice, and see what voltage the ECU sees, i didnt really think about that. Backprobe with your VOM at the ECU!

Make sure you are getting voltage to all of your sensors...... You could have blown a fuse or fried a relay for your power source. You can check it with the ign. in the on position. You should have 12V at your MAF and your CAS.

Try pulling your MAIN fuses and check them with a meter. Mine LOOKED fine but when checked with a multi meter one was cooked.

Be interesting to see if his ECU would work in your car ... just to be sure.

Yeah, I'd be interested to know what readings you get from Q45Tech's suggestion.
