Hey i was wondering a couple things. i'm looking to mod my g (2005 auto sedan) and was wondering if adding a 1/2' spacer would void my warranty? Also was wondering if I added the z tube and pop charger will there be any side effects. If it has all been answered before sorry but i could not find it. It would be great if i could answer these questions and will be greatful on any other advise you throw in thanks to all.

The only way it would void your warranty was if they could say it caused the issue that you bring it in for to claim warranty work. So, more simply, no, it won't void your warranty.

Same goes for the Z-tube and Pop Charger. In fact, I had my G retested by the EPA voluntarily in exchange for some $$$ and they wanted it returned to completely stock. It was also inspected by Nissan engineers. I left my Z-tube on and they didn't notice. Are there any side effects? You'll lose lower-end torque due to some additional heat soak. Check out the Engine, Drivetrain, and Tuning thread and look up the "Lets talk airboxes..." thread. There's some good info that I think you'd be interested in.

i would do just the z tube with after market filter like k&n or, if you want to spen the money, a stillen air box/z-tube combo to avoid the loss of low end torque... due to heat soak like what was already said.

you wont be driving your car near redline all the time so you wont get to feel the high rev ~6hp gains the pop charger gives in normal driving... not worth the money in my opinion.

the stock airbox is pretty good already... i too am looking into getting a "high rev" air box from an 350z or g35 6speed.

if you looking for just a better sound then get a z-tube and take off the "power duct" piece on your stock air box.. it sounds great

The average power gains on a 260 or 280hp motor (non-rev-up, which you have) are better than the 5/16" spacer. This modification increases power across a very wide rpm range. The MREV2 should be used without a spacer on the standard engine, unless fuel/ECU modifications have been performed as it may cause the engine to run lean.

If you decided to go the spacer route, 5/16" seems to be the best option.
