i have a 93 vert.

about two weeks ago, my passenger and rear quarter windows decided to stop working. it seems to me like the passenger window's motor was going to die sometime, as it was very slow. but to stop working all at once...it does make sense. i purchase the switches for the rear windows but that didn't work. driver window does work.

also, the day my windows stopped working, my top would go down either. the following day, i was showing my brother that it didn't work but it did. and now my rear windows are slightly down and won't go back up.

any ideas? please and thank you

I'm fairly new to the 240vert thing but you might want to try putting down the top, and checking the guide mechanisms inside the panel. Something might be caught/stuck/offtrack, just and idea

Check the windo lock button on the driver door. It is towrads the front of the car in front of the 2 window switches. It is a little black push button. It will lock all the windows even the rear quart ones.

Good luck

If multiple windows are inop at the same time it is clearly an electrical issue rather than mechanical issue.

Typical electrical issues with power windows is a disconnection in the circuit. In other words a blown fuse, bad ground wire, disconnected plug or relay, etc...

ewittiner is right on.. Many people don't even think of the obvious driver's side power cut-off... The "child proof" switch.

Check that first. Don't be embarressed if that's it. It's a common mistake.

First check your fuses to make sure they aren't popped. That is the most likely case.

If that's not the case... You may have to take off the passener door panel to make sure the plug is connected properly. Also, take apart the center console and check the grounds to the window swith.

Keep us posted, and we can help you work through it.

Good luck!

Awesome... glad you figured out the window issue.

It would be fantastic if you'd do a write up on the top replacement. NICO can host millions of pics, so don't be stingy... the more you can take the better.

Great having you here!

well, i have had a vert for about 5 months now, which i purchased after my 91 hatch died. still have that one, but i got my vert from an old lady. she put 105k on it. it was repainted red because sun faided the color. only paid 3,400 for it. can't complain.
