NEED HELP!!please!!ka24de swap on '86 d21 wont start

okay!im new 2 this website nd i would like sum help please!! i jst recently did a swap on my 1986 d21 hardbody, the motor came out of a '99 frontier (ka24de) automatic, a running engine nd in good conditions, bt now tht everything is in place nd wired up it wont crank!! i also swap the fuel tank so everything will be plug nd play, i am havin gas though,also relays nd ecu do a clicking noise everytime i try 2 start the car another thing i heard all obd2 ka ecu's have an led self dignose system on the ecu my doesnt have the led 2 dignose any prblems it my be having,it has the self dignose system bt not the led.. .i tried all kinds of stuff nd motor still wont start can someone help me out pls!!!!!i will appreciate it so much!!

So the motor just turns over all day but wont start? Or is doesn't even crank? Also did check for spark, fuel and etc?

it jst wont crank!!i have fuel in my lines though..nd ingnition relays on both outter nd inner fusebox do a clickin noise bt i knw 4 a fact they're good...also i have new starter so i knw thts not the problem either...idk what 2 do anymore??!!!!! :confused:

Now do you have the fuel lines on straight? Also do you have spark? And when the swap was done nothing was done to mess up the timing right?

i pretty sure i do have my fuel lines correct..return line 2 fuel pressure regulator nd main fuel line 2 fuel rail.. is dis correct??nd nah nothing was done 2 timing ..nd theres jst no way i can check spank if motor doesnt crank.. it seems like ecu is lock or sumthing like if it had sum kind of anti theft system

neutral safety switch? on the clutch bracket? the rubber piece falls out or is deteriorated beyond use.

does the switch need 2 be grounded??ks i have it pluggd in jst not under the pedal!!..also i removed nd cutted all air bag plugs from main wiring harness since my older model truck doesnt have the air bag system stuff will tht be a problem??

cant speak on the air bag

unplug and jump the harness side with a wire and see if it starts

what do u mean by jumping the harness side with a wire???......okay yesturday i was workin on my truck nd this is what happen........
now tht i grounded the neutral switch the motor sound like is about 2 start bt it still wont crank... nd now the clicking noise got worse on my ecu nd insde the fusebox it use 2 click once now it clicks nd clikcks nd it doesnt stop..it does it everytime i put my ignition key 2 on..

Dude its a ground! Check your grounds by the starter, I had the same click click situation!

okay i did like you told me 2,check ground on starter?!!!..aight another thing i dont have a ka24de transmissoion im using the Z24 transmission...nd i also add couple more grounds 2 the engine...nd it still wont crank...all ignition relays click now when i leave the key set 2 on..the clickin is continous.. :wtf2: :cry: i done swaps before nd i never had a problem like this one?????????????i own a honda wit a k-series swap tht i did myself nd no where near a problem like this came accross :frown: im really pist tht i cant get this crap 2 run......anymore ideas and advises?? :poke:

relays clicking away, look for some bad grounds.

no dont ground the wire, you simply complete the circuit that the sensor would complete. Unplug sensor, take the harness side of the wire and run a piece of wire from one female spade to the other, this is not hard, its like checking codes on a honda...

my grounds are fine!!!! i bought a kit of 5 grounds all brand new!!..1st one to maniful..2nd one to the head..3rd one to starter..4th one to block..nd the 5th one to transmission...so my grounds arent the problem i switch the grounds couple times already thinking maybe i had them in the wrong place bt it keeps doing the same crap.click.click.click.rapidly.comin from intake maniful nd relays.key set 2 ON i turn it 2 Acc nd clickin stops?? :confused: wat sensor do i unplugg nd wat sensor r u talkin about?? theres alots of sensor idk where 2 start im faustraded nd confused already. :confused: . sorry 4 my ignorance yall....I'd jst nevr ran into a problem like this one :mad: :frown:
