Hi,

I have been stuck on reassembling the rear knuckle/ hub assembly assembly............for my rear brake z32 upgrade. Since I have to reassemble the knuckle/ hub assembly to take the splash guard out.......then putting in the e-brake assembly for z32 in.

Is there any special tool to make it done easier?

I don't want to use the hammer to tap it out since I am afraid that the wheel bearing will be damaged...

Help me...please

a special tool to make the e-brake assembly go more smoothly? There are tools for drum brakes that will make it go more smoothly so yes. If you're just trying to take the splash guard out, then no unless you want to cut it off.

My suggestion is to use a block of wood and a piece of rag as a buffer while hammering. I held the knuckle was held in a vice. This was while I was doing a 5 lug swap on my 1996 240. The rear hubs and knuckle assembly can be a pain, even if your car is rust free. After you bust it loose sand the knuckle (with light sanding paper) to ease the installation of the hub.

Note: there is a large ebrake bolt that must be removed before you dissasemble the 300zx rear hub spindle if you got these pieces assembled.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for all your helps...I am trying to figure out how to use the hub puller to deal with this.....It must be something better than taking it to the machine shop......which I will post my trick later if it works....
