need help on turbo manifold...

one of my cousin is giving me his evo 8 turbo and i was wondering what type of turbo manifold and down pipe do i use to bolt it up to my ka24de and what other parts do i need.

i'm not an expert on this but since the evo turbo and the t25 will fit on the same manifold on a DSM. I would assume that if you have a manifold for the t25, it will work.

i dont know anything about that turbo but its all about the flange. if he is right about it having a t25 bolt pattern, than it shouldnt be too hard. as for other parts, there are many guides about turboing a KA.

i know about the guides ive check up alot of it and its very useful. the only thing that i can start now is try looking for a manifold and downpipe for the turbo that i have rite now i know that i can get a t25 or t28 oil lines and it will work i was going for a t28 but since i have free turbo ill just use that for now. my cousin say that the evo 8 turbo stock boost is 17 to 20 psi and he is running 18 psi daily driving so i dont know if that too high for a stock turbo but it has no shaft play or oil leak.

ohh, yea, that is definatly not a t25 flanged turbo.

the first thing ur gonna need to do is fiure out what flange that is. shouldnt be too hard. look around some evo forums or something, u can probly just yahoo it real quick and figure it out.

and then u can look around to see if someone makes a KA exhaust manifold with that flange, but i dont think ive ever realy heard of it unless it was custom done. which would be your other option, might be kinda spendy but it would work to get a custom manifold with whatever flange on it thaqt u need.

and then u have the option of getting a custom flange adapter made. so u could get either a t2 or t3 flanged turbo manifold for ur KA, us a flange bolton flang adapter that will allow u to use ur evo turbo, and then if u ever wanted to get another turbo, u would just need to remove the flange adapter.i came across this seller on ebay that does this kind of work, can also do custom pieces that arent already for sale.

given ur situation and the possibility of changing turbos in the future, getting one of these with one of the many T3 flanged exhaust manifolds out there would probly be your best bet. u tend to have more manifold options if u go with a T3 flanged manifold too.
