holy porsche fitment batman!!!

195/55 and 255/40, keep in mind the aspect ratio of the tire wall is affected by width.

I'm not even going to go into the fact that you will have to space the front out A LOT to get the same type of fitment as the wheels will have.

Wow, talk about staggered! I bet those rears will look sick. I can't really help you with tire sizes, but be sure to post pics for us when you're done!

285/30R18 will fit just fine. I ran 265/35R18 on my x10.5 rim, and that wasn't that much of a stretch at all compared to some I've seen. I could easily run 255's in the rear if I wanted, so you can scale that # up and end up w/ 285 for your 12" rim.

If you insist on the 205 in the front to maintain stretchiness, be prepared to understeer everywhere, haha.

If you don't need maximum stretch, you could also do something like 215 or 225 front, & 295 rear.

I'd recommend running something sticky in the front & less sticky in the back. Something like re01r front & falken fk452 or equiv in back.

I personally prefer to run as much tire as I can.

Becareful with that front size. The tire WILL blow out on you and screw up your rims. Sorry don't mean to sound like an alarmest, but the load index on a 205/40r18 is around an 82 or 86. Even at full carrying pressure (35 psi is max carrying pressure on most Passenger tires - and yes, some tires have max pressures higher than that, but stop carrying anything extra after 35 (unless they are reinforced or extra load tires). On our stock size of 195/60R15 87H the load index is 87. That means that at 35 psi the tire can hold 1201 lbs. A load index of 82 (which is most tires sold in that size) the max load is 1047 at 35. That's alot to put is mildly. So what does this all mean? Don't go that small even if you want a crazy stretch (which it really isn't on an 8 inch wide rim. I run 225's on a 9.5 all around and is a fair stretch - but I have reinforced run flat tires. I would probably say the rears would be no problem getting that stretched look and still get a tire that is strong enough for the car to drive everyday on the road. Now if these tires and rims are for show only, by all means do the 205's. Also remember that stretched tires expose the sidewalls to damage. Heavy/thick sidewalls are a plus for road driving. Hope this helps you make a safe decision. (My load numbers come from TIA - Tire Industry Association testing guide - if you find a XL with load index of 86 you may be able to make it work by adding a few more PSI from OE). Sorry for the lengthy reply, but it is what I do everyday.
