I have 4 winter tires from my previous car which I'd like to use on my a/c. The coupe is the 3.5 version with the standard 17" wheels as most of you know.

I was thinking of selling my winter tires but figured for the $200 or so that I would get they might be more useful if I buy rims & use them on the a/c.

The winter tires are 205/55R16's. Can I use these? If so, how will they affect my speedometer/odometer readings?

You can't use them. There is a 5.48% difference between these and the stock tires. That's greater than te recommended max of 3% difference. This could cause brake failure and issues with your ABS and TDC.

You will have to bite the bullet and get proper sized tires.

I'll have to disagree with altima coupe on this one. If you're going to run them on 16x7's, you should be ok. At that size, you don't have to worry about rubbing or anything like that. The only thing you really need to worry about is total tire diameter. OEM is 25.5" and going down to 24.9" shouldn't be that great of a deal. Your ABS shouldn't act up, but you may get TPMS readout from your computer unless you have TPMS in your new tires.

You are better off buy winter tires of the correct size 215/55R 17.

If you are going to use the 205/55R16 winter that you have now, you will have to get new rims, which will offset any gain you are going to get with the existing snow tires.
