I need help figuring out where the hose that comes out of the transmission connects to, and also I dont have a charcoal canister, where do I reroute the vacumm hoses to, I have a rb26 in a s13 240sx. and do I really need to replace the engine temp to a ka to get it working correctly on the cluster and run a seperate wire all the way to the cluster to make it work correct. any help will be appreciated.

The hose coming out of the transmission is simply a vent line. It doesn't tie into any of the vacuum or evap systems, just atmosphere.

If you want the evap system to work properly, the vacuum hoses need to be connected into the intake downstream of the MAF sensor(s).

cool, I got the transmission hose part., but for the charcoal canister, I converted to map, so do I just plug the hoses back to the intake

I believe so. The 240 had a solenoid valve that would control the purge valve, but the R-chassis only had a vacuum driven one. I'm still not sure how the diaphragm works or if there's a check valve in there somewhere that closes under boost. I should post a pic of the RB25 setup.

yes you need to use the KA temp sender for the stock gauge cluster to work. I was recently having the same problem tryin to get my cluster temp gauge to work and finally just swaped out for the KA sensor

Did you have to rewiring the sensor or do anything with the wires

nope. just pluged the RB harness onto the KA plug and it worked. As long as u have it wired correctly at the dash plug inside the car next to the ecu

just ditch the charcoal canister you dont need it. its just for emission crap, i have run my rb26 s14 for over a year now without my charcoal canister and it runs just fine.

You're right, it is in there to prevent evaporative gasoline emissions from entering the atmosphere and polluting our pristine planet, but it is mostly in there to keep the car from smelling like gas all the time.

If you ever plan to have a girl ride with you, she won't be pleased. Just depends on what you use your car for (daily vs. track)

I'm going to just block off the vacuum lines that connects to the canister, and vent feul one to the atmostphere
