Hello evberyone im new to this, but i Did a lot of research on a 240SX. So im ready to purchase :naughty: but sad thing is, Im a black teenager and all my friends arent into this kind of Lifestyle :frown: . I found a s14 on craiglist and he has some cons and some aftermarket area. I was want to know how much it will be to replace all the cons
his cons are:
Running with no thermostat
Right engine mount is weak
Rear brakes are low
Left corner light missing, one of the connector wires ripped (solderable)
Dont have an s14 Vehicle speed sensor hooked up so the speedometer isnt working, but just need to replace the s13 one (disconnected or else wont let you pass 60mph) with the s14 and done
please contact me and let me know how much you think it will be to fix the cons. Thank you.

All of those are cheap. Rear pads take 5 mins total to install. Speed sensor doesnt let the car go over 60 or the speedo wont read over 60? Cause neither make sense. In an s14 if you run an s13 speed sensor and your driving 60mph your speedo should read 30 (someone correct me if im wrong) I might have the temp gauge sensor and vss mixed up now that I think about it.

Corner light just get clear ones new for less then 75$

No thermo? Where do you live. I live in fl and honestly you dont really need one. Thermos are used for two reasons in my book when dding a car
1. Keep the heat hot when its cold/cool
2. Makes your engine warm up quicker when you start it

^ thats my opinion and I live in fl where you can go to the beach on christams and go swimming

Engine mounts are cheap you can use one from any 240sx silvia 1989-s15 years any engine that came stock in a 240sx sohc dohc ka sr and ca. Or hell buy the cx racing poly ones for 80$ or megans for 200 with trans

If that's truely all that's wrong with it your in pretty solid shape but I would question why isnt he running with a thermo...

People dont just take them out for no reason.

So it also depends what year it is.... Obviously the newer the body and lower miles on the engine more pricey but you just got to get lucky i guess.
now one thing you gotta see aswell if you are planning to swap the engine later or go turbo Ka-t. depending where you live i would get a 1995 S14 because they didnt really require to plug it in to the computer like they do now on OBD2 cars until 96. so its easier to swap a 95 S14 and getting it passed then a OBD2.

Also depends on the front end if its a Zenki or a Kouki, kouki looks more aggressive and they come out on 97-98 but if you get a 95 zenki you can later on buy a kouki front end and swap it with no issues. koukis will be more expensive then zenki and also what it has upgraded.

how much are they asking for the one your looking at ? i got my 95 zenki for 3k came with Ka24de, DC headers, intake, full exhaust, coilovers, Rota grids, needed some TLC but it was worth it.

now for your cons that you were asking:

Running with no thermostat - this can be a no big deal if you want to put it on it will cost you like 10 bucks for the thermostat at any auto store, and buy the little blue gasket seal that come in little packages. but ya depends where you live and how cold it gets there, if it snows in winter then you should probably put one on cause running the engine too cold can hurt it, and you will freeze.

Right engine mount is weak - you can replace it maybe go to a junk yard and take one off another nissan that has the same RWD Ka24de engine inside i know some other nissans have it.

Rear brakes are low- brakes are cake and cheap at any auto store.

Left corner light missing, one of the connector wires ripped (solderable)
Dont have an s14 Vehicle speed sensor hooked up so the speedometer isnt working, but just need to replace the s13 one (disconnected or else wont let you pass 60mph) with the s14 and done
- corner light shouldn't be hard to find, you can buy at any aftermarket website or forum like here or Zilvia, alot of times the same connector is used in other nissans so you can go to the junkyard and pocket it. and the speed sensor i have heard that S13 and S14 are calibrated different so best thing to do it get one at a auto store, might be lucky to find one forsale in a forum, you can also trade it cause some people might have a S14 trans on there S13 and they need a S13 speed sensor. same engine but little things change from the 2 like ECU and mostly electrical stuff.
