What I want:An exhaust that sounds greatAn exhaust that isnt too loud (cops are real jerks around here)An exhaust that wont restrict the power from my Blacktop SR20

Just getting out of the Honda scene (Turbo GSR), and just buying a 240 today, i need some good advice on choosing an exhaust. Please, any recommendations and why they are good would be awesome. Thanks!

Well, I bought a OBX exhaust from Ebay 3" catback with a 4" tip for s14 and seller said it suppose to fit s13 chasis with little MODS" and he was correct it did need a few minorfidication. You had to cut out the rectricter in center and weld another 3 inch pipe and weld few hangers. Bring it to shop then it'll be breeze for you.

Quality - Yes its very good, I was shocked when I turned on the motor, quiet, very low deep sound at at times and at acceleration, the deep sound obviously gets louder but not annoying, it stays low. If your willing to go the extra. Oh and you'll save more money for buying this for 325 compare to other brand 500+ just a thought! GOod Luck

If you want 3" and flow through, its not going to be quiet. I have the RS*R and it is the least loud 3" exaust I have driven. I also have exaust manifold and O2 housing, which makes things louder. All concidered, the muffling ability of this exaust is impressive. It doesnt even have a resonator on top of that.

Apex'i is really Nice the GT spec is really good 3.78 inches all the way through its not too loud but it does look really mean but if you want a quiet sound then go with the N1 3 inch all the way through.

Pics of the Apex'i GT spec

Dont mind the tape the car was broken into and i had to tape a make shift window lol

JIC = $$$$$$$$$

But if you need Titanium, JIC is one of the few who make full systems of it.

I was pretty happy with the sound of the Apexi n1 single on my friends blacktop, i think ill go with that. My other friend has the apexi n1 dual on a ka24de and its too loud for me. He can also justify its noise by how many times he's been pulled over. I guess it doesnt help that he's running a test pipe, either. I think the 3" diameter will be able to support the power I want. I think ill always have that underlying fear of being pulled over and asked to pop the hood no matter what exhaust I get. Hopefully th apexi n1 wont get too much attention. Thanks all for helping out!

The SS Autochrome 3" cat-back is a absolute wonderful exhaust. It has a excellent sound and comes out the back bumper beautifuly. It in my opinion is the best looking and sounding exhaust I have seen on any 240 and it is dirt cheap. I think I paid about $275 on ebay, be sure to check it out.

Did your friend have a catalytic converter on it or straight pipe? Also, was the silencer on??

I just installed the Megan Racing 3" exhaust on my '92 with an SR and was pretty impressed considering what I paid for it ($325). The welds are all very nice, and the entire exhaust is all stainless. Sounds nice too, very throaty, no ricey buzzing, although it does tend to drone a bit around 70. Hope this helps!

JIC is loud. There used to be a shop pretty local to me that used to carry the Bullet exhausts, but the canisters fell off on two different cars and they stopped carrying them.
