Hi. This is my first post on NICO forums, so I want to say, "Hi Everyone!"
Here is my question...
I want to order an ECU for my 1995 240sx SE off a site called ECUdirect.com. I basically did a 5 speed swap and need to get rid of the check engine light.
My problem is deciding which E.C.U to order.
If you go to the site: http://www.ecudirect.com/findi...top=0 and search 1995 Nissan 240SX, you will see a list of E.C.U.'s.
The Nissan dealer gave me the O.E.M. part # for a 95 240SX SE M/T ECU which is: 2371M-70F03RE.(You can disregard the 'M' and the 'RE', it is a replacement E.C.M. and has the same programming as the original)
2371M-70F03RE closely matches the part number 23710-70F03 on their list, so you would think you would be done and good to go.
However...
23710-70F00 is also on the list right above that. If you look under the Remarks column for this e.c.u., it will read FED W/MT A18-B92G00.
I checked this T.S.B. from Nissan:http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/tsb/NTB94-097.pdf
Only the 23710-70F00 #A18-B92G00 shows up for the '95 240SX with M.T.
I did a Google on #A18-B92G00 which brought me to RockAuto's site:http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/...%2529
In the description box it reads reads: w/M.T.; w/I.D. #A18-B92G00; Before 8/94; Part Availa...
The "Before 8/94" was the most important part because the manufacture date on my car is 3/94.
So, to wrap this long post up,
would you go with the closest matching part number: 2371M-70F03RE to 23710-70F03
-or-
if RockAuto's site has the #A18-B92G00 listed with "Before 8/94" which my car is manufactured before (3/94), and that same number (#A18-B92G00) is backed up by the T.S.B. from Nissan, then I would believe that would be the correct E.C.U. to order.
Again, I hate long posts also, but I wanted to give you all the information I have so, it could help you with your opinion.
Thanks.
