i bought a '90 240sx with a viper alarm system off my cousin's friend and he's not around anymore. i was playing aroudn with the valet button before and kinda messed up the current alert system. it was very sensitive before because whenever you touched the car or winshields the alarm or an alert would sound. now it doesn't and i was wondering how i can fix it back to it. i dont know the viper model number. can anyone help? thanks!

Does the alarm still function properly...besides the sensitivity issue? You may have to locate the alarm brain module and turn up the sensitivity level that is on the side of the unit. From what I have seen, most car audio shops cable tie the module onto wire looms which doesn't help out much on the adjustment of the tampering sensitivity. Vibration on wire looms is limited. I usually mount the shock sensor/module on something metal.

You may have just put it in valet mode, in which case the alarm won't go off at all. Will the alarm trigger when you open the doors? Does it beep/chirp when you arm/disarm it? Does the LED on the dash stay on all the time?

Which model is it? It is possible to adjust the sensor(s) via remote. Let me know which model, and I'll tell you how to adjust it. IF thats whats needed to be done.
