Yes I am its a greddy and I have no idea if its recirc. I just bought the caf I just noticed when I was changing the oil that the external waste gate dump is not attached to anything my mods are greddy fmic garrett gt35r greddy boveh? wrote:Are you running an aftermarket blow off valve and not recirculating it?Why is your wastegate open?
Yes it sounds like the exhuast manifold gasket that's why I asked about the waste gate as well if it would be making this noise since its running open dumpJoe wrote:you have a ticking sound at idle?
exhaust leak. thats probably going to be the cause of your power loss too
Ok thank you I will look and also do you guys know what would make a whirling sound coming from the transmission and rear end do you guys think I need gear oilSil240 wrote:Look at your BOV.If it has a hose going to the intake pipe AFTER the MAF, then it is recirc'd
If not then.... It's notAnd that will be your problem.
your wastegate does have an exhaust gasket/some kind of seal on the manifold side but it shouldnt be making noise at idle. the fact its an open dump has nothing to do with this problemRBboost’d_240 wrote:Yes it sounds like the exhuast manifold gasket that's why I asked about the waste gate as well if it would be making this noise since its running open dump
Ok that's what I was thinking and I just looked at my bov and it does not look recirc. The only hose coming out of it is to my greddy intake manifold and none to the maf sensor how would I recirc it?Joe wrote:

any ticking at idle = exhaust leak and it can cause the problems you are describing.
