need help on my car alarm system!

i bought a '90 240sx with a viper alarm system off my cousin's friend and he's not around anymore. i was playing aroudn with the valet button before and kinda messed up the current alert system. it was very sensitive before because whenever you touched the car or winshields the alarm or an alert would sound. now it doesn't and i was wondering how i can fix it back to it. i dont know the viper model number. can anyone help? thanks!

turn the key to ignpush the valet button once

see if that resolves your issue.
