I like the 60mm gauges from Greddy with the peak hold and stuff but how would you mount it? Is there a kit because most kits I see are the Autometer one for 52mm gauges. I searched but found nothing. Any help?

get the 'strap style' holder that way you can mount it on the dash or do like me and stick it on the steering column. Plus you can get them for like $10 from Titian motorsports.

you could also make something custom for like under your radio, or in your center air vent...get creative!

Under the radio will only hold 2 60mm gauges, I have 3 52mm gauges and they just barely fit.

If you want an A pillar one (which I DO NOT recommend), you can trim the edge out with a rotary tool and use 60mm gauges with it.

I wish they had instrument cluster bezels for our cars. I think that is the best place to put gauges. If any one finds one, or can make one, let me know.

I just installed my Greddy 60mm warning boost gauge the other day. I bought the Greddy universal pillar mount, and it didn't fit too bad at all. it's not seamlessly clean or anything, but it does the trick without spenging the $ on autometer only to have to bore it out to make the Greddy gauge fit. I got it from http://www.projectnissan.com. for $21. Since I don't like more than one gauge on my A-pillar, I will be mounting EGT and other gauges on my dash using Greddy's meter stand and fitting band Paul mentioned above. If you like I can post pics. Do you want me to? Otherwise, http://www.carbontrix.com has some cool stuff to mount your Greddy gauge.

It won't happen unless you want to modify the cluster pod from another model, adapt the actual pods to yours, and throw away the rest of the cluster housing. Seems like a waste to me. Or you can go through alot of trouble hunting down a JDM one, and pay WAY too much for it. If that location is what you like, then just get those Greddy meter stands and mount them there.

how can it be rice? you're installing guages to monitor a performance part. yes all the honda-fu*$ers have taken to putting them in, but i prefer to have important guages in my field of vision. Maybe I'll move my tach and speedo to the top of my windshield so i can keep an eye on them at all times!

a-pillar guages are harder to spot than a lot of people think, IMO. if they're done properly they'll blend to the a pillar and be undetectable unless you're looking. Besides, I need something to couteract having my chewed up stock wheels

I hear 'ya on all of that. I'm sporting the thrashed stock wheels too. I'll post up pics of the pillar pod tomorrow. Heck maybe I'll post up my whole car!

Hey guys I was also thinking of getting a A-pillar gauge pod, but decided not to simply because of cops. Well I know adding guages to your car is not illegal but if a cop pulls you over and saw all your guages, he would definately wonder what your trying to monitor and will probably assume that you have done some modifications to your engine. Now I know that I have a illegal engine in my car and I'm not trying to give a cop a reason to ask me to pop my hood. I would like to let you guys know that I live in California and am probably over cautious.

Not to mention it makes it a lot easier for a car theif or parts theif crusing a parking lot for parts to spot you car and take them. But my main reason for not doing it was the rice factor. Everybody here in Orlando is turbo anyhow, it's allmost a rice mod in iteself (if you run a T25 at 7psi you are a ricer IMHO). Besides too many people are doing the guages for looks anyhow ("look at me I have a boost gauge, I'm cool")

So yea.... 1. It's rice 2. It's gonna get stolen 3. Cops love boy racers in imports

Homie, there's no such thing as being over cautious in California! Have you read any of the stories around here about people having their cars snatched by the CHP?

I had a custom gauge pod made, and I'm going to mount it in the center of the dashboard, right above the vents. Think Mitsubishi / Subaru style, 3 gauge pod. There's something about trying to focus on / or THROUGH (as when turning) A-pod gauges at high speeds. They're at a weird focal distance, that has very little to do with the field of vision I use when I'm looking at the road ahead. Add to the fact that they're usually only about 60mms across, with a 20/5mm neddle and 10mm high numerials... forget about it.

I'll spray paint it black, and then cover it in some black vinyl as close to the dashboard texture as I can find. It'll still be conspicious, but I hope with tinted windows and a generally sleeper (other than the exhaust) look, most people won't notice.

Hey Phax I'm aware of all the stories about all the poor people that get caught up with the cops and all. You are right though about there is no such thing about being over cautious. Thats why I kind of stole Buds idea of putting the guages underneath the CD player. What I did was cut out some sheet metal and cut the holes for the guages and jb welded it to the center trim. I sanded the glue off and painted the trim black, it looks great and looks like it came from the factory like that. Now all I have to do is make a cover for it.

Hey, I run my T25 at 7 psi, and I have no intention of getting a boost controller anytime soon. I suck at driving as it is, I don't need more power to make me suck even more.

Yeah, Buud has the down low styles sleeper setup. It's a good idea, huh?
