I have a redtop in my 95, and I'm trying to cool it down some.

I got my stock clutch fan put back on. It was hitting the crank pulley, so I put a couple of washers in on each bolt to pull it out further. Is that okay to do? And also, it should be pulling air towards the engine correct, not pushing towards the radiator?

I have a fan shroud, but don't think it'll fit with my ka radiator, and crossover hose in the way. I think the shroud is for an sr radiator is why. Which shroud should I get then, a ka one? Or will it work with the sr20? Any body have a link or pictures to it? Thanks alot!

washers should be fine, yes the fan pulls air from the radiator. as far as the fan shroud goes, you should get the SR shrould if you have an SR with stock fan. if you have an SR radiator, instead of a crossover pipe, just use a KA upper hose and cut it, or get an SR upper hose. the KA fan shroud won't fit for the SR fan. the SR fan is off to the passengers side a little. another thing to worry about, if you're using the SR fan shroud it will get in the way of your A/C drier/reciever. Im not too sure how the S14 is, but this is what happened on my S13 SR. I hope this helps a little, either way Good luck.

Okay cool. I don't have an sr radiator though, I still have the stock ka one, that's why I have the crossover upper hose. I'm kind of wondering what a ka shroud looks like, because I think I have an sr one; the reason it won't fit. I'm just guessing that I need an S14 ka shroud for this to work. Anybody have pics or info on s13/s14 and ka/sr shrouds and fans? Just confused as to what will work or what I need.

One last question, are the sr and ka clutch fans different? Just wondering why mine was nicking the crankshaft pulley. Thanks!

Alrighty, so here's a couple pics of my fan shroud...which one is this? I need a shroud that'll work with my ka radiator and redtop motor with a crossover upper hose. Which shroud should I get? Thanks alot.

do yourself a favor. go to a junkyard. pick up some dual electric fans from a sentra, and wire them up. it's so much easier to mess with and doesn't take up near as much room. plus it cools better and doesn't rob any hp.

i wouldnt say it cools better but it does free up alot of space.

you're suppose to use sr shroud with sr... but since you're using KA rad... i think you might have to trim some spots

I just got rid of my electric fan, that thing was so damn loud and annoying, and it only cooled about 10 deg. more then my stock clutch fan w/o a shroud.

Yeah, it seems like I'd have to cut the whole top off. Does anyone know what shroud I have pictured above and which shroud I need for sure? Thanks.

if you have an sr. you'll need an sr fan shroud.

if using a ka radiator is an issue. trim the shrould where you need to, to make it fit.
